Christmas donation for children and youth home St. Josef

Team is pleased about support for the renewal of the outdoor area

Playing outside in summer or tinkering in the creative workshop in winter - the young residents of the St. Josef children and youth home in Mannheim-Käfertal have lots of leisure activities to choose from. With its Christmas donation, the HILGER & KERN GROUP is once again helping to realise new projects next year. These can only be implemented with the help of donations. The company handed over a donation check for 2,500 euros to the youth home Director Petra Weber, Administration Manager Frank Loreth and Area Manager Melanie Krolo, who were pleased that the support came from a regionally based company. They would like to contribute the donation to the renovation of the outdoor area at the main building next year. Among other things, a new play tower with a slide will be build up there.

Last year's donation was used to complete the furnishing of a creative workshop on the newly built Flora Campus. It was opened at the beginning of the year and accommodates two residential groups for children, a day group and a day nursery. In addition to the workshop, there are other creative rooms in the building that can be used by all children and young people.

St. Josef’s Children and Youth Home was established in 1851. It provides a home to around 100 children and adolescents, while supporting them in other ways such as through family assistance, day groups and social group work.
